After my internship in Tennessee, I went even further south to Austin, TX, and began my role as an assistant copywriter at GSD&M. I was thrown into the deep end, joining the agency smack dab in the middle of a pitch for Flower Foods brands: Nature's Own and Dave's Killer Bread.

This is where I learned that I'm a pretty great swimmer. A lot of my writing made it to the pitch. Although we didn't win the new business, I gained invaluable agency experience and learned a lot that I'll carry with me throughout my copywriting career. I was also able to contribute to a variety of brands, such as Corona, Realtor.com, Nature’s Own, Dave’s Killer Bread, and Food Lion.

I helped write the platform name/ tagline, "Baked Different," and a few headlines, including "A toast to the trailblazers" and "Not your grandma's buns".

​For the Nature's Own pitch, I helped write a plethora of scripts
for two of the platforms, "Best Thing Since" and "Gimme the Real".
